Kelsey Jenkins

Teacher/ Choreographer

Kelsey has loved dancing since she was a toddler and started her dance career at age 8. She is trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, pointe and hip hop.

During her dance career, with hard work and dedication, she has won a ballet scholarship, she danced competitively for numerous years and has also won numerous awards with her team. She was a student assistant for many years helping with choreography. She has taken classes under well known choreographers such as Talia Favia, Robert Roldan, and Tricia Miranda just to name a few Kelsey is a senior at Winthrop University where her major is Educational Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.

Kelsey has enjoyed having the opportunity to teach summer classes at Joy Dance Academy this summer and can’t wait to see what this coming season has in store.
